What this site is
An independent guide to safaris from Zanzibar — fly-in day trips to Mikumi and Nyerere, 2–3 day safaris, Serengeti fly-ins and safari + beach holidays — and to trips around the island: Safari Blue, Mnemba, Prison Island, Stone Town, spice farms, Jozani, dolphins, dhow cruises, diving and transfers. We are not a tour operator, we don't run boats, planes or vehicles, and we are not the official site of any park, conservation area, boat company or attraction.
Where the prices come from
Tour prices, ratings and durations come from the booking platforms themselves — GetYourGuide and Headout — through their partner feeds and API. They are refreshed every day; a price on a button is the platform's price at the last refresh, and the platform's checkout is what counts. When a listing doesn't say whether flights, park fees, lunch or hotel pickup are included, we write “not stated” instead of guessing.
Official fees (Tanzania National Parks and Ngorongoro fees, Zanzibar marine conservation fees, the Zanzibar travel insurance, ferry fares and venue prices) come only from official websites or the venue's own site. Each one is shown with a verbatim quote from its source and the date we checked it, and a script re-reads those sources to flag changes.
How we make money
Buttons and product links go straight to the partner's page. If you book there, the partner may pay us a commission. It doesn't change your price, and it doesn't decide what we write: pages say when a cheaper or simpler option exists, including ones that earn us nothing (booking a venue directly, taking the public ferry, a taxi from the rank).

Our pages about Zanzibar tour operators and booking platforms describe how they work from public information — their own websites, terms, association membership and listings. They are not ratings, and we don't publish invented reviews or star scores.
